Fun and Healthier Treat for Kids – Waffle Cone Fruit Cup

If you want to serve kids a healthier treat than ice cream, serve cut up fruit in a waffle cone and you’ve got something to talk about.  Keebler has waffle cone bowls that you can purchase if you want to make your fruit cups ahead of time since the waffle cones would be harder to store.  You can add a little cool whip, fruit dip, nuts, granola, or cereal on top to make it even more fun.  I enjoy mixing my fruit with a little yogurt before putting it in my waffle cone.

Want to make it more educational and fun for your child?  You can have your child help make melon balls with a melon scoop and cut up the fruit depending on his or her age.  Your child can also help measure the fruit into the waffle cones using measuring cups.

Now your kids will be getting a high-fiber dessert and you won’t have any bowls to wash!
