If Feet Could Talk…

Today we went shopping to get my little ones new tennis shoes for preschool.  They have been sporting crocs since it has been warm enough to not wear socks.  We live in Florida, so that was probably since March.

Anyways, I was shocked to find out the size of my children’s feet!  We had them stand on one of those foot measurement devices and their foot sizes were at least 1-1.5 sizes larger than the shoes they were currently wearing to the store.  Also, one of my daughters feet were a half size larger than the other one so it was good that we measured both, otherwise the shoes would have been too snug for her larger foot.

I know that the shoes that they were wearing this morning fit them at one time, but I am not sure when they became uncomfortable.  Maybe crocs tend to stretch a little so it didn’t bother them as much.  I have learned my lesson and I need to pay more attention to their foot growth more frequently.  I guess I should have registered for one of those “Children’s Home Foot Sizers” after all.

My children are almost 2 and almost 3, so they couldn’t express that their shoes were too small…too bad their feet couldn’t talk either.
