Remove a Band-aid Without Pain
We all know how painful bandages can be when removing them, so I cringe when having to remove them from my little ones. Children are always getting boo boos, and sometimes removing the bandage can cause another one. With a little prep, we can remove the bandaid easily and painlessly.
Tips for Removing Band-aids
- Apply baby oil to the bandage using a cotton ball and it will easily come off. Olive oil or vegetable oil works too if you don’t have baby oil.
- Apply petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to the bandage and allow it to soak in for about 5 minutes and it will easily come off.
- Isopropyl alcohol supposedly also removes the adhesive from band-aids, but I would choose the baby oil option first with children
Do you have any other tips for removing bandages?
