Chatty Gal Won the POM Wonderful Recipe Battle

I am very excited to report that with your help, I won the POM Wonderful Recipe Battle for the Peach Pomegranate Crisp with Coach’s Oats recipe.  Thank you all for your votes and participation in the first POM Recipe Battle.  Read the results.

Peach Pomegranate Crisp with Coach’s Oats

Filling:

2 TBSP flour

½ cup sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

½ cup chopped walnuts

2 – 19oz. jarred peaches (no sugar added), drained (equals 4 cups)

¼ cup POM Wonderful Pomegranate Juice

Topping:

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup flour

½ cup Coach’s Oats

¾ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

5 TBSP butter (softened)

¼ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Stir and combine filling ingredients- drained peaches, flour, white sugar, cinnamon, ½ cup chopped walnuts, and pomegranate juice. Pour into a greased 9X13 baking dish.
3. Use a fork to blend the butter with all topping ingredients, except for the ¼ cup walnuts.  Blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbles.  Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the top of the peach filling.  Top with remaining ¼ cup chopped walnuts.
4. Bake for 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.  Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whip topping.
