This Contest Has Ended

Have you heard about Zhu Zhu Pets?  They are the latest toy craze for the 2009 Holiday Season.  Toys R Us has included them on their Hot Toy List for 2009!

With these hamsters being such a hot item at this time of year, many places are out of stock.  I was lucky enough to find a few and decided that a Zhu Zhu Pets giveaway would be a fun first contest to offer my readers.

Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters are battery operated hamsters that scuttle across the floor, run in hamster wheels, drive around in little cars, zip up ramps and even make noises.  Accessories can be purchased for the Zhu Zhu hamsters such as a skateboard, surfboard, bed and blanket, adventure ball and much more!

I have to admit that I had never heard of this toy until last week when my mom called to tell me about them after watching a toy segment on Fox News.  She called to find out if I thought my two little ones would enjoy them for Christmas and if so, then she would try to find them since they are selling out everywhere.

I wrote down the name of the toy, looked it up, and decided that it was something they would enjoy playing with.  After watching the Fox News segment online, I decided to see if I could locate any Zhu Zhu Pets to help my mom out.

I noticed that many places online (Target, Walmart, Toys R Us) were out of stock at the moment.  Luckily, I found a Hallmark who had a few left, so I purchased what was available and decided to share my luck with two of my lucky readers.

I have to admit, I haven’t played with the Zhu Zhu Pets since they are new in the box, but Hallmark did have a display and they looked incredibly cute.  You can even press their little noses to hear the different sounds of the hamsters.  I know that my children will not be receiving a live hamster this Christmas, but they are going to have fun playing the Zhu Zhu Pets.  I can’t provide you will a full review of this product since they are still in the packaging, but I am assuming they must be pretty cool to be on the Hot Toy List for 2009!

There will be two winners to the Chatty Gal Zhu Zhu Pet Contest.

1. The first lucky winner will win a Zhu Zhu Pet Fun House AND the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster Mr. Squiggles!
2. The second lucky winner will win the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster Num Nums!

This contest will end on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 7:00pm Eastern Time.

The winners will be chosen by Random.org using the number of comments made to generate a random number.   For example, if there are 50 comments made and number 37 is randomly chosen, then the person who made the comment for number 37 would be the winner.

I will contact the winning comment numbers for first and second place immediately by email. The winner has 48 hours to respond; otherwise another winner will be chosen using Random.org.
