11 Ways to use Digital Photobooks for Projects other than Scrapbooking

Digital Photo books have become popular for those of us who like to be creative, yet lack the time to put together a scrapbook.  However, digital photo books can be used for more purposes than just pictures in scrapbooks.  Get creative, document, tell, and share stories with your family and friends.

1.  Recipe book -create a book of favorite recipes to give as a gift

2.  Children’s book - write and illustrate your own children’s book

3.  Portfolio – use the digital photo books to create a portfolio for your resume, business, or services and products sold.  For example, a neighborhood community could create a digital photo book to depict the property its highlights.

4.  Books - journal and write books to family members or your children to tell a story.  For example, you could write a book to your baby called “Expecting You” about the pregnancy and dreams that you had.  You could write a story to your spouse from your child’s perspective and include pictures that the child illustrates.

5.  Family Tree - use a digital photo book to document family heritage and a time line of events.

6.  Memory Book - create a memory book to honor a loved one or someone who has passed away.

7.  How To Book – if you have a specific talent or skill, you could create a “How To” book to pass down to your family so that they too can learn that skill as well.

8.  Personalized Story Book – create a book with a special person as the main character.  Illustrate the book with images of the person and use his or her name throughout.

9. Vacation Book- Create a memory vacation book that not only contains pictures, but facts about the places that you visisted.

10. Thank you Book- create a photo book giving thanks to someone for something that they have done.  This is perfect as an end of the year gift to teachers or retiring employees.  For the teacher thank you book, you could include scanned pictures of thank you notes written from the children.

11. Special Events and Celebrations - Last but not least, use photo books to record special events such as graduations, holidays, anniversaries, and weddings
