Acupressure Mat to Relieve Back Pain

I recently came across the Shakti Mat which is an acupressure mat that is supposed to give the results of acupuncture for the relief of back pain, headaches, insomnia, and increases energy.  The prickly plastic mat activates pressure points along your spine or soles depending on how you lay or stand on it.

Reviewers on Amazon.com had positive comments to make about its effectiveness for relief of back pain, although they said it did hurt a little at first.  Reviewers recommended trying it first with a then cloth over it or a light shirt at first.  For only $39.95, the Shakti Mat might be a great and cheaper solution if acupuncture has helped your back pain in the past.
