Coach’s Oats Oatmeal is Delicious and Healthy!

Today I just received a Coach’s Oats Gift Basket from winning the POM Wonderful Recipe Battle!  I admit that ever since using Coach’s Oats to experiment with recipes, I have switched over to using it as my regular oatmeal breakfast.  I like the taste much better than rolled oats and they cook just as quickly in the microwave.

Coach’s Oats contain 100% natural whole grain oats. They are different than rolled oats since they still have the steel cut texture and nutty flavor, but they are quick to cook and can be used in baking.  They don’t have the pasty or mushy flavor that rolled oats has.  Traditional steel cut oats take much longer to cook and are not microwavable.  So, Coach’s Oats gives you the steel cut flavor, yet the convenience of cooking them quickly and/or with a microwave.  Coach’s Oats are the best of both worlds.

I am super excited to try the Coach’s Oats Multigrain Pancake Mix that they so kindly sent me.  You can see from the photo that I also received two large containers of oatmeal cookies – Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies and the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies.  I am sad to report that the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies have almost all been devoured in a matter of minutes- by just the 4 of us.  The Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies will have to be tomorrow’s treat!  If you ever see these cookies in stores from Coach’s Oats, make sure you try them because they are delicious!
