Kmart Offers Overnight Prescription Delivery

Kmart just started offering Overnight Prescription Delivery for only $4 in NY, PA, FL, and CA to certain test locations.  If you order by noon Monday through Friday then you will get your prescription by 6pm the next business day.  I think this is perfect idea for anyone who has a difficult time getting out of the house or who can’t drive, especially if you can wait a day to start your prescription.

If you don’t live in one of these four states or if the pharmacy near you doesn’t offer this service, you can still take advantage of Kmart’s mail order prescriptions.  The mail order prescriptions may take up to 10 days from the original order.  However, once you have sent them the original prescription, you can sign up for auto-refill and have your prescriptions mailed to your door.  There are certain restrictions for medications qualifying, but it’s a great solution for those who are on maintenance medications or who need diabetic supplies.

I hope that the Overnight Delivery System works well in the tested location sites so that this can be available to everyone else.  Hopefully it will be the future path for many pharmacies.
