15 Reasons Why I LOVE Chick-fil-A

I don’t know about you, but like many, my family goes to fast food chains when traveling or when we are out and about.  My absolute favorite fast food chain is Chick-fil-A!  I have learned that these are not everywhere so I am very sympathetic to those who do not have this in your town.

15 Reasons Why I LOVE Chick-fil-A

1.  My newest reason:  They have Coke Zero!  I am a diet coke girl, but I am excited for those who love the coke flavor, but don’t want the extra calories.  They also have a really good Diet Lemonade.

2.  They serve a great grilled chicken sandwich on a wheat bun.  You can just purchase the grilled chicken patty instead of the bun if you are doing the low carb thing.

3.  They were one of the first fast food chains that I noticed to offer fruit instead of fries as a side item.

4.  Chick-fil-A has the best fast food salad – the Southwest Chargrilled Salad.  I have ordered salads at most of the major fast food chains, and nothing compares.

5.  Chick-fil-A has a family night each week with a clown, face painting and balloon art.  You also get a free kids meal with every combo meal purchased.

6.  If you don’t want the toy that comes with the kid’s meal, you can trade it in for a kid-size ice cream.

7.  Chick-fil-A gives the disposable sticky placemats for kids with your order.

8.  Almost all of the Chick-fil-A’s have an indoor playground for kids that is clean and has hand sanitizer with wipes available.

9.  The Chick-fil-A’s I frequent are super friendly and super clean.

10.  They have an online meal calculator so you can figure out your calories, fat, etc. when you are dieting. (They also list allergen info, gluten info, and information about diabetic exchange.)

11.  They have the ultimate waffle fries and now their own Chick-fil-A sauce which is oh so yummy, but not so healthy.  They are also not stingy with the amount of condiments and napkins they give.

12.  The Chick-fil-A’s in my area participate with fundraisers for local organizations by allowing a % of the proceeds to be donated back to the organization.

13.  The creative advertising with the cows is just too cute.

14.  You can order party platters and food for events.

15. I love that they are closed on Sundays to respect family and worship time.  Chick-fil-A feels that its employees need a day to rest, spend time with family and friends, and to worship if they choose.  We do find ourselves always wanting to go to Chick-fil-A on Sundays, but I admire their policy.  Our normal response…”Let’s go to Chick-fil-A…awe, it’s Sunday.”

Suggestions to Chick-fil-A: My only suggestion would be to offer a light or reduced fat Ranch dressing for the salads.  Currently the healthier choice dressings are Light Italian Dressing, Fat Free Honey Mustard, and Reduced Fat Berry Balsamic Vinaigrette.
