Happy National Sandwich Day!
Happy Sandwich Day! National Sandwich Day is celebrate on November 3rd.
The sandwich was named after John Montagu, fourth Earl of Sandwich, who “invented” the sandwich. Legend has it that in 1762 he was participating in a 24-hour gambling event and asked his servants to prepare something for him that he could eat in one hand. His cook served him some meet in between 2 slices of bread. Thus, the sandwich was created!
You can start the day off with an egg sandwich and then try a new type of sandwich for lunch and dinner. For a complete Sandwich Celebration you can finish your day with an ice cream sandwich.

I love sandwiches too, but then again I love almost all food! I have never tried the liverwurst though. Is it like eating liver, but on a sandwich?

No…liverwurst is like pate, it is the meat dept. where the hot dogs and sausage are. You slice it and put it on a nice whole wheat bread with onions, mustard, swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato. OMG!!! It is sooooo good.

Okay…I am going out of town for a few days, but when I return, I am going to try the liverwurst sandwich! Thanks for exposing me to something new! I love trying new foods, especially when they are easy to make.
