POM Recipe Battle – Vote for Chatty Gal!!

Back in December I wrote about all of the wonderful benefits of POM Wonderful’s 100% Pomegranate Juice.  Ever since then, I have been using POM in my smoothies as well as a variety of recipes.

Recently I was contacted by POM Wonderful to create a dessert recipe for a contest using their pomegranate juice and Coach’s Oats oatmeal.  I was honored and accepted the challenge of battling another blogger who would be representing Coach’s Oats.  Into the rings I jumped…or rather, into the kitchen.

After much deliberation and tasting yummy foods, I finally chose a sweet southern dessert to enter the rings against Coach’s Oats–Peach Pomegranate Crisp with Coach’s Oats. This dessert got two thumbs up from my family taste samplers so with a full and happy belly I submitted the recipe.

The Peach Pomegranate Crisp is a dessert made with peaches and pomegranate juice mixed with cinnamon and walnuts topped with a buttery crumble mixture of oatmeal and walnuts. This dish is divine when served warm with ice cream.
