Recipe for Chocolate Dove Turtles

I made Chocolate Dove Turtles during the Christmas holidays and now again for Valentine’s.   I have gotten so many compliments and they are SUPER easy to make, not to mention delicious.

Chocolate Dove Turtles

Ingredients:
1 bag of caramel filled Dove chocolates
1 bag of waffle-style pretzels
1 bag of whole pecan halves (about 30-40 pieces)
Wilton’s Chocolate Melts (optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Use nonstick aluminum foil on cookie sheet.  Unwrap each Dove Chocolate.  Lay out pretzels and put one chocolate on each pretzel.  Put one pecan halve on top of each chocolate.

Bake in oven for 3 minutes. After removing from oven, gently press pecan into chocolate, but not hard enough for caramel to come out of the chocolate.  Transfer panto refrigerator for chocolates to harden.  Serve at room temperature.

Optional: You can melt the Wilton Chocolate in the microwave and then put in a Ziploc baggie. Cut off one corner off the baggie and use it has a pastry bag.  Drizzle the melted chocolate onto the turtles for decoration.  I always decorate mine with the chocolate before putting them in the refrigerator to harden.

    Dark chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolate. Chocolates have some natural antioxidants too.;:’

    my favorite is always Dark Chocolate, i do not like Milk Chocolate coz it is too sweet for my taste’“
