Are You a Coupon Clipper?

If you are…then don’t toss those expired coupons! US military families stationed overseas can use manufacturer coupons for up to 6 months after the expiration date.  You can mail your unused coupons directly to the bases for our US military families to use.

A few rules to make the coupons eligible:
1.  The coupons must be clipped.
2.  The coupons must be manufacturer coupons and not store coupons.
3.  It is best to not send coupons that are over 30 days expired since it may take several weeks for them to arrive and be dispersed.

Another tip:  It helps to separate the coupons into 2 piles, food and non-food. You can just put the two categories in two separate baggies and mail them.

GrocerySavingTips.com has compiled an updated list of addresses for different military bases in which you can mail your expired coupons to.  GrocerySavingTips.com updates this list monthly.

Even if you don’t regularly use coupons, put them to the side.  When you have collected a stack, send them to our hardworking military so they can benefit from the savings.

    I did not know this, thank you so much for sharing this tip! I almost always have a few coupons that I miss the date on by a day and hate to have to toss it. Now I know where to send them. Thank you!

    You are welcome! Now you also don’t have to feel like you are wasting time clipping coupons that you won’t use since you can pass them along!
