Cash In Your Coins for Gift Cards Using Coinstar

Many grocery stores have Coinstar machines that allow you to deposit spare change in return for cash.  The Coinstar machines charge 8.9 cents per dollar for this service, but now you can receive gift cards in lieu of cash without paying the fee.

Coinstar now offers the option to exchange your coins for FREE when you load the value onto an eCertificate for participating stores.  Now you don’t have to pay the coin counting fee and you receive the full value of your money.

eCertificates are available for Amazon.com, Borders, Albertsons Grogery, CVS Pharmacy, iTunes, Eddie Bauer, JCPenney, Cabela’s, Lowes, Old Navy, Overstock.com, Starbucks, Regal Entertainment Group and Rixty.

So it may be time to break open that piggy bank and make use of that spare change!

I ♥ Coinstar! I think last time I redeemed my “piggy bank” (which is really an old wine bottle) I walked away with $70+! Not bad for just saving some extra change here-and-there.

By the way, Coinstar is on Facebook if you want to “Fan” them!

I have used Coinstar many times as well and I am always pleased with amount of $ I get. I have never mind paying the fee since my bank used to charge me for the coin rollers and also a fee to deposit cash through the drive-thru teller. Thanks for the Facebook Fan info!
