Many people have turned to bartering and swapping products and services with the difficult times in our economy. Below are some of the popular sites for bartering and swapping goods and services online.
1. Swapstyle.com allows you to swap clothes, shoes, cosmetics, and accessories with women from around the world. Members can either swap, sell, or buy direct.
2. Zwaggle.com is a network for parents to share, trade, and swap kid’s gear. When you donate gently used items to families, you get “Zoints” to buy the items you need.
3. Barterplanet.com is a free online community that allows you to trade items, services, and knowledge.
4. Swaptree.com trade books, video games, dvds, and music. List the items you have and what you want to receive. Then you just swap your items in the mail. All trades on Swaptree are free, you just pay shipping. You can trade one item and receive one item in return, and therefore all items have the same value.
6. U-Exchange is the largest online free swap site that specializes in every item of trade as well as barter services.
5. Craigslist.org has a section on bartering where you can request an item for services or services for services.

You should really have SwapHog.com. They are the only site that offers a 3rd party service that first receives all items, inspects and audits them before finalizing the transaction. This eliminates fraud and ensures a successful transaction. I really like it.

Helpful article, thanks. I’ve switched over to bartering recently for most of anything I can get without having to shell out cash. There are a couple sites out there to use, to connect with people who are looking to trade/swap items or even services (carpentry work for auto work, etc). One of the sites I use is Baarter.com – http://baarter.com
