Speak to a Live Operator Using GetHuman.com

We all know how frustrating it can be to call a company’s phone number and deal with speaking to a computerized operator or be put on hold for several minutes.  I get even more frustrated when I do wait out the 10 minutes or so and then get transferred to a different department for another holding period.  Sometimes I end up getting disconnected in the process and have to start all over.  There is usually some trick to bypass the computer and go directly to a person, but deciphering that trick can sometimes take several tries.

GetHuman.com is a website where you can find the phone numbers to more than 1600 companies and the steps to get to a live operator.  If you find out the trick to getting a live person to a company not listed on GetHuman.com, then you can add this information to help others as well.

I suggest bookmarking this site so that you can use it the next time you need to contact a company but you don’t have the time to deal with their phonetree system.
